I’m Digging…Arkansas Addition!

Last Updated: November 24, 2023By 3 min readCategories: What I'm Digging Now

I am super excited to share a bunch of the places my girlfriend and I went during my trip to Arkansas. I had never been before, but I fell in love from the minute I landed. Flying is definitely a disaster right now, but the trip was absolutely perfect: from relaxing, to shopping, to eating the yummiest foods here is a round-up of some of our favorite spots.

Little Rock

We stayed in Little Rock both the first and last nights we had together. We had an amazing dinner at Copper Grill downtown. The weather was perfect to sit outside and we each indulged in delicious cocktails and their super yummy entrees. I had the blackened redfish and she had the lobster and shrimp pasta.

Eureka Springs

Eureka Springs is now easily in my top 3 destinations of all time. I would recommend you go during the week as the weekend’s tend to get very busy. It’s a tourist town, but the gems you will find don’t feel gimmicky and we are still talking about the meals we had.

We stayed at the 5 Ojo Inn would is an amazing bed and breakfast run by the nicest couple. Each morning, breakfast was delicious. In the afternoon, they would leave cookies on the door. I actually sat outside and read one morning and saw a deer! Everyone was extremely friendly and the room we stayed in gave me home decor inspiration which is always a plus.

We loved eating Mexican at La Familia Tex-Mex, a family run restaurant, sushi at Mei Li Cuisine, where my girl tried miso soup and eel for the first time, and BBQ at The Horseshoe Grill where I tried catfish here for the first time. There are tons of sweet shops and fun places to peek into. We went to the Thorncrown Chapel on our way out of town and loved it. We also stumbled upon Just Bee Coffee Bar and the vibe was super inviting. All in all, if you’re looking for a cozy, comfortable town to visit this is the place for you.

Conway

Conway was next on our list. We had the best food (again), I went to my first ever yard sale, and we day dreamed about making this place our one-day home!! (More details to come). I loved visiting BAM books where I got my first Bible, eating at Zaza Pizza and Salad (their Bloody Marys are bomb), grabbing coffee at Blue Sail, and shopping at women-owned and local boutique, Kindred Mercantile, (I’ll definitely be returning next season).

You can see the joy and fun in some of our photos throughout this post, but the memories we have are definitely even better! I love doing life with my girlfriend and this was the best first trip together.
